Carolyn Zenk, Attorney at Law, has gained tremendous expertise while practicing law for

30 years. She was the General Counsel for Group for the East End, a leading environmental advocacy organization, for 10 years full-time. She is considered by many to be the top environmental attorney on Long Island. Vice President Al Gore awarded her the prestigious Champion of the Environment award. Her accomplishments are outstanding. Attorney Zenk represented over a dozen civic organizations and presented an amicus curiae brief, which resulted in the historic Pine Barrens Act, which protects Long Island's drinking water. This is one of the many accomplishments of Carolyn Zenk.

Carolyn Zenk was a key leader on the following issues:

  • Stopped incinerators on East End of Long Island

  • Up-zoned one third Southampton to 5 acre zone

  • East Hampton’s Harbor Protection Overlay District Law

  • Preserved Wildwood Lake, Flanders

  • Historic Pine Barrens lawsuit, Suffolk County, NY

  • Preserved farmland in Southampton Town

  • Brought community theater to blighted downtown area in Hampton Bays, NY

  • Preserved the Long Pond Greenbelt, Bridgehampton
